In early April 2017 Tarrant Appraisal District sent 555,000 Proposed Market value notices to taxpayers in which residential values were increased an average of 5 to 8 percent. This follows a double digit increase last year which was an attempt to make up for the district’s under assessments in 2015 as a result of their conversion to a new computer system in late 2015.
